Privacy policy
Scope
This policy covers one internal application: a tool that reads tracked consulting hours and prepares draft invoices in QuickBooks Online. It is used only by Big Time Data staff, against Big Time Data's own accounting records. It is not offered to customers, and no third party connects an account to it.
What the application accesses
From QuickBooks Online, using the Intuit Accounting API:
- Customer records: display name, billing email addresses, payment terms
- Invoice history: dates, line descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and the recipient addresses previously used
- Service items and terms, so new invoices match existing ones
- Company information, to confirm which company file is connected
From Toggl Track: time entries, projects, tasks, clients, and the names of the Big Time Data staff who recorded the time.
The application writes one thing back: draft invoices in QuickBooks Online. It creates them unsent, for a person to review and send.
Why
Invoice history is read for two specific reasons. Recipient addresses are read so invoices go to the same people who received them before, and previously billed unit prices are read so new invoices use the rates actually agreed with each customer. Time entries are read to determine hours billed.
Where data is stored
On a Big Time Data workstation, not on this website and not in any cloud service operated by us. Stored locally are OAuth tokens for the QuickBooks connection, a configuration file containing customer names, billing email addresses and hourly rates, and generated invoice drafts for the month being billed.
This website stores nothing. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party resources, and keeps no access logs. The one page that receives data, the OAuth callback, processes it entirely in your browser and does not transmit or record it.
Sharing
Nothing is sold, rented, or shared. Data moves only between Intuit, Toggl, and the workstation running the tool. The only outbound communication is the invoice itself, sent from QuickBooks Online to the customer being invoiced.
Retention and deletion
Access to QuickBooks can be revoked at any time from Settings → Manage apps → Disconnect inside QuickBooks Online, which immediately invalidates the stored tokens. Local configuration and generated invoice files are deleted on request. Records held inside QuickBooks Online itself are governed by Intuit's terms and Big Time Data's accounting retention obligations, not by this tool.
Security
The connection to QuickBooks uses OAuth 2.0. Tokens are held with restricted file permissions on the workstation and are never placed on this server. The client secret that exchanges an authorization code for a token exists only on that workstation.

Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
